More than 70% of the world's population can't digest milk sugar (lactose) after childhood. Drinking too much lactose can give you a queasy, uncomfortable feeling 30 min to 2 hours after you consume it.
The problem with whey protein powders is you can't really know the purity or the amount of lactose in it. Whey protein can vary from 30% to 90% pure. Since it's derived from milk, what's left over can include a lot of lactose, as much as 55% But that lactose won't show up on the nutritional panel, it's just listed under carbs since it's a sugar.
It turns out that the only ethnic groups that are usually able to digest lactose are those descended from Northern Europe or a few Mediterranean populations. Most of the rest of the world loses the ability to digest lactose after childhood.
Approximately 70 percent of African Americans, 90 percent of Asian Americans, 53 percent of Mexican Americans, and 74 percent of Native Americans are lactose intolerant according to recent studies. Lactose intolerenace is also common among those whose ancestry is African, Asian, Native American, Arab, Jewish, Hispanic, Italian, or Greek.
I'm not going to lie. I didn't expect that much from your product. I've had a lot of protein powders in my day and most didnt taste very good. The name Egg Crystals didn't fire me up either, although I understand that is literally what this is. But it is GOOD. I liked the taste a lot, and the consistency of the Crystals mixed easily with water.

Got the Egg Crystals. LOVE IT! Have to be careful not to drink too many a day. My kids tasted it and thought it was a milkshake (I blend it up with milk and ice.) Telling friends! Any more flavors coming out?
My search for the perfect dairy free protein powder is over! I love that this is a more complete protein source than other vegan powders and has no carbs all while tasting awesome!

The difference between drying at high and at low temps is huge. It's the difference between ending up with a cooked egg white with denatured protein and off-flavors, and a clean, fresh tasting egg white with the original protein structure intact.
You can see the physical difference between crystallized protein on the left and regular powders on the right. Protein crystals sparkle and shine whereas powders are dull and flat.
Egg white protein has long been known as the gold standard of protein. It something our ancestors have been eating for thousands and thousands of years, are bodies are highly-adapted to digesting it. That's one reason it gets a perfect score on the protein digestibility scale (PDCAAS).

Best of all, egg white is naturally lactose- and gluten-free, and we don't do anything to change that. If you have trouble with whey protein powders, try our egg white. A lot of us have trouble digesting lactose and dairy, egg white is a perfect solution to that.
A protein supplement is no silver bullet for your nutrition, but it help you maintain a health, high-protein diet more easily.
The heart and soul of your diet should be healthy, unprocessed whole foods. But time is short and it can be hard to always find the time to cook and eat a good meal. A high-quality protein supplement is an easy and convenient way to boost your protein intake and make sure you're getting a pure source of high-quality protein in your daily diet.
Egg proteins are very heat-sensitive. Regular egg powders are dried at very high temperatures which denatures the protein and creates off-flavors and functional problems. Since they're dried at temperatures of 350F - 390F, the proteins are basically cooked during the drying process. Once they're cooked, you can't uncook them. It's impossible to unscramble an egg.
Egg Crystals are dried at very low temperatures. Our egg white proteins are dried at under 120F. This gentle evaporation process protects and preserves the proteins, resulting in a clean-tasting egg with all of the functionality of fresh egg.
We only use egg white so our product is 98% pure egg white. All we do is add a very little bit of vitamins, minerals and flavor. We don't water it down with cheap protein concentrates or fillers like maltodextrin, there's no need. This is as good as it gets.
